Margaret Feinberg introduces her book, Taste and See, with these words, “WARNING: The following pages are likely to cause the side effects of becoming spiritually and physically hungry. We recommend devouring the pages with healthy snacks nearby.”
Margaret Feinberg brings us into the Bible World of food. She’ll go to the Sea of Galilee to learn about fishing there. She’ll visit a Fig Farm to learn more about figs.
Here are the six main chapters and their focus:
Session 1 “A Flaky Filet of Fish: Taste and See God’s Power”
Session 2 “A Plate of Sweet and Succulent Figs: Taste and See God’s Satisfaction”
Session 3 “A Loaf of Bread Just Out of the Oven: Taste and See God’s Community”
Session 4 “A Dash of Sea Salt: Taste and See God’s Purpose”
Session 5 “A Bowl of Delectable Olives: Taste and See God’s Healing”
Session 6 “A Flame-grilled Lamb Chop: Taste and See God’s Rescue”
Bonus: Every chapter includes some interesting sounding recipes. During our time together we may even try a few of them.
